Quiver Full of Arrows

Day 17 of #AtoZChallenge

Jeffrey Archer is well-known for unpredictable twists and explosive outcomes in his novels. His novels which are usually longer than an average book contain multiple twists and turns during the long course of the plot.
Quiver Full of Arrows is a collection of 12 short stories by the author which proves that he can turn out equally interesting stories in lesser words too. This particular book is sometimes rated better than any of his best sellers.

In these 12 short stories, Archer takes us on a tour of emotions and turmoil with his signature twists at the right time. Not only are these stories absolutely superb, the narration is also crisp and seamless. The characters stand out in their part. And there is no set pattern in the stories. Each one is distinct in its own special way. Henry’s Hiccup gives you a subtle message while Old Love is a classic love story. The Coup is about two businessmen who need to handle their ego clashes. The First Miracle makes you want to believe in miracles like a 5-year old kid. If there is a single common thread that passes through all of these wonderful short stories, it would that distinctive Archer style.

Being a Jeffrey Archer fan, there was no way I was missing out on this one. But this one is also recommended for those who haven’t or don’t want to read Archer’s other books. I can assure that you won’t be disappointed.
